To Marie’s children; I feel so sorry that you have lost your mother. She loved her children with all her heart and spoke of all of you whenever we talked or saw each other. I am so glad I visited with her in the hospital just a few weeks ago but little did I know it would be the last time I would see her. She was talkative and same as always and I thought there would be more time but I am glad she is at peace now and with her loved ones who have gone before.Stick together as a family and take care of each other. Love, Doris.

To the family, I am so sad to hear of Marie’s passing, I remember as a child Marie coming to visit my grandparents, Helen and Freeman Rafuse, while I was visiting them. When my Mom was sick and losing her battle with Cancer, Marie came to see my Mom in my Mom’s final hours, Marie held me close almost like she was protecting me from what was to come, and recently at the graveside service for my grandmother in April 2014, Marie called out to me, she had not seen me in years but she knew me, she held her hand out to comfort me. I will never forget that, never forget such a kind and caring person.. Rest in Peace Marie.
