ZWICKER – Douglas D., 75, of Liverpool, passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, January 6, 2015.
Born in South Brookfield, Queens County, he was a son of the late Hastings and Lillian (Douglas) Zwicker.
Doug was a fisherman most of his life. He enjoyed fishing a lot, but most of all, he loved watching wrestling with his son Junior and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He was a loving husband, a devoted father and a proud grandfather. He will be forever in our hearts, always loved, always missed, but never forgotten.
He is survived by his life companion Marilyn Clattenburg, his daughters Crystal Zwicker (Gary Porter) of White Point, Amanda Zwicker (Patrick Boens) of Brooklyn, Tammy, at home. His son Junior (Candace) of Port Mouton. His grandchildren Peter Boens, Austin Porter, Gary Porter Jr. and Serenity Zwicker. His sister Faye (John) Keating of Milton, his step brother Leonard Zwicker (April Backman) of Western Head.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool where a memorial service will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Fred Carr officiating. No flowers by request, donations gratefully accepted by the family in Doug’s memory. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
