I would like to offer my sincere condolences on the loss of your beloved mother. I worked with Lauren over the years and observed the special bond she shared with you. To say you were the love of her life is putting it lightly.. Whenever she spoke of you her smile would light up the whole room. I am sure you have many happy memories and over time you will recall them with a smile and not a tear, but remember it is okay to cry it helps to heal your soul.
You and your Family are in my thoughts and prayers

Wow. This was a shocker to me! While doing my internship at South Queens Middle School, I had the opportunity to shadow her, and man didn’t she teach me so much. Dear Brandon, Linda, Richard , Jeffery, and family,
Please accept my deepest sympathies in the loss of your mother, daughter and sister.
I worked with Lauren and I appreciated that she obviously cared about the students with whom she worked. She also felt comfortable contributing to class discussions or asking questions.
When I retired, Lauren gifted me with a shiny and sparkly pin. She knew I love my bling. I wear it on my jean jacket and will continue to wear it in her memory.
May memories ease your grief and the company of family and friends comfort you during the difficult times ahead.

Dear Brandon,
Your Mom was truly one of a kind. We worked together at South Queens for a number of years and so many things make me smile when I think of her. She always asked about my family and when I had Carter she was so excited for me to become a boy mom just like her. Lauren was so attentive and always put her all into her students learning, taking care and consideration to make sure they were going to get their work done. She was wonderful to advocate for students and have caring conversations about student needs each day. The students she worked with loved her and trusted her to no end.
Lastly, and more than anything, it was clear to everyone that you were the center of her world. She was a family first person and such a devoted Mom (to you and the fur kids). We all feel like we know you so well, because you were all she spoke of in the sweetest, beaming Mom way. I feel such a pit in my stomach that she’s gone. I will miss her very much.
Take care and know your SQ family will always be here for you.
Sincerely,
Laura Wilson

I am so saddened by the sudden loss of Lauren. She was a kind, caring and compassionate lady who above everything else worshiped the ground that Brandon walked on. She would go to the end of the earth and back if it meant that it would bring a smile to his face.
We worked together for the last number of years and she has been one of my biggest supporters through the trials and triumphs of life. She would tell it as it was while offering her sympathy or excitement depending on the situation which never left you guessing how she felt.
She put her whole heart into her job. The students that she touched will have lifelong memories of their time spent with her.
May I just close by saying that Lauren was a strong and independent woman. She will be forever missed and always in my thoughts.
“Cheers Lauren” ❤️

Dear Brandon and family and extended S.Q.M.S. family , My sincere condolences to you
all. When I left school on Friday I heard Lauren was ill and when I returned on Monday
was deeply shocked and saddened to learn that she was gone. Sooo many memories
have flooded my heart as I write this and have read your messages of love to the family.
Lauren would always share pictures of her cat Jack in the S.Q.M.S. lunch room and also
funny animal videos. She had a passion for cooking and we would always get to smell
her yummy creations. She also passed this love along to the students in our S.Q.M.S.
student kitchen where many fun meals and treats were prepared and shared . I can still
hear her saying , “Aw….thanks guys ,” whenever her students paid her a compliment. These messages deeply touched her heart. While she deeply loved her students the
true apple of her eye was you Brandon. I remember her bringing you to Milton School
to hang out and help on the playground such a long time ago. She truly wished you every happiness in life . She always had your best interest in her heart and will continue to in spirit I am sure. Her and I couldn’t wait for fall to come every year for the Tim Horton’s pumpkin cream cheese muffin when I worked there as a T.A. from 2014-2019.
I am blessed for having known Lauren and to have heard her stories of resilience ,
perseverance and determination. My heart breaks for you S.Q.M.S.,Brandon and family. Take care of the things she loved Brandon…. like the plants and fur babies and take care of yourself too.She would want this more than anything Brandon. If you need anything don’t hesitate to reach out . May it comfort you to know that we are praying for beautiful memories to flood your heart and to carry you through this very difficult time.My mum
passed in 2019 and my heart goes out to you Brandon for your mom will be missed. Surround yourself with friends and family. Hugs to you all. Linda Williams
