WINTERS – Robert M., age 68, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 25, 2023 in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool after a battle with cancer.
Born in Liverpool, Robert was a son of the late William “Bill” and Marjorie (MacDonald) Winters.
Robert was a industrial electrician working for Farmers Dairy, Steel and Engine Products Limited (STENPRO), Kenny and Ross, Bowaters Mersey Paper Mill, Dayspring Electric and Marine Atlantic. Robert loved spending time with family and friends, enjoyed many years at Ponhook campground and loved all kinds of animals.
Robert is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Connie (Deveau); daughter Amanda (Steven) Oickle of Liverpool; son Troy (Heidi) of Ottawa; grandchildren Kaelyn, Ryse and Breyden all of Ottawa; brothers Peter (Marie) of NL; Mike (Judy) of New Glasgow; brother in law Art (Gale) Deveau of Hunt’s Point; sister in law Lydia Deveau of Bridgewater. Many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. At Robert’s request, there will be no funeral service. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the S.H.A.I.D. Animal Shelter or Canadian Cancer Society. Online condolences may be made to www.chadlersfuneral.com
