Whether it was cutting a piece of glass for me at Home Hardware, or knocking on our door to tell Dave that we needed to check our smoke alarms (Mort had heard the chirping noise while walking by the house), or joining the ‘bow tie’ brigade at Liverpool Baptist……he embraced life, and most people, with joy that was contagious. Dear Marion, Debbie , Dan and family,
This is such sad news! We offer our deepest condolences to you all. We know what a huge void this leaves in your family.
Mort was always a fixture in the community – it will be so strange not to see him walking along the street. Growing up in the Baptist Church, you, Marion, and he, as well as both your parents were always there it seemed, often sharing your great vocal talents.
Mort was a wonderful ambassador in the area- his unwavering ability to spread humor and joy helped us all to “look on the bright side” and become better individuals for it. Morton will be fondly remembered by anyone whose life he made better with that positive outlook on life which he shared so willingly.
Thinking of you all in the days ahead, and hoping that the tributes and your great memories bring you peace now.

Marion,Debbie, Dan and family. We were saddened to learn of the death of Morton. We recall his faithful participation in the life of the Liverpool Baptist Church, especially the choir. We also remember his smile, his laugh and the way he took time to chat. We are grateful that Morton was following the Lord Jesus Christ who said, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me though he die yet shall he live. ” John 11:25 We are remembering you in prayer.
