Williams; Larry Gregory, age 66, of Dartmouth, passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022, in the QEII Hospital, Halifax.
Born in Port Mouton, Larry was a son of the late John Sr. and Etta (Roy) Williams.
Larry could light up a room with his smile and could make anyone laugh with his sense of humor. He was always the life of the party and you never knew what he was going to say. He also loved sports, bowling and all Boston sports teams (Bruins, Red Sox, Celtics and Patriots). Larry worked at the Halifax Metro Center in maintenance before going to work at C.W. McLeod Fisheries plant in Port Mouton and finally for Bassano Growers producing potatoes in Alberta, retiring in 2002 and moving home to Nova Scotia due to ill health. Above all else, Larry was most passionate about his family and spending time with them. He was truly one of a kind. He was loved and will be missed.
Larry is survived by his loving wife, Marlene; daughter, April (Adrian Brady) of Bridgewater; son, Gregory, of Halifax; grandchildren, Dominic (Melanie), Jesse (Jessica), Wesley and Chloe (Ethan); great grandchildren, Layla, Hailee and Victoria; sister, LaDonna Williams (Scott Leblanc) of Hunt’s Point; Stephen (Linda), John Jr. (Elaine) and Kevin (Peggy), all of Port Mouton, Michael (Chelsea) of Oshawa, ON, and Wade (Marjorie) of White Point.
Besides his parents, Larry was predeceased by sister, Daisy Broome and brother, David.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to the Diabetes Association of Canada or a charity of your choice. To share memories or condolences, please visit www.chandlersfuneral.com
