Whynot, Victoria Lynn, 50, of Mersey Point, Queens County, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 10th, 2013, at home.
Born in Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Reginald and Rosie (Whynot) Smith.
Vickie was an active volunteer for Special Olympics and Queens County Ground Search and Rescue. She loved reading, music, playing darts, knitting and enjoyed watching the TV show “Mantracker”. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She is survived by her loving husband Gregory “Bones”; sons Devin, Nicholas, both at home, grandson Jonathan Nickerson; sisters Beverly (Paul) Conrad, of Voglers Cove, Betty Ann (Ronald) Daury, of Milton, Diane (Glen) Dexter, of Brooklyn; brothers David Whynot, Robert Smith, Thomas Smith, all of Milton; several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 15th, 2013, from 7-9 p.m., and a Celebration of Vickie’s Life will be held on Tuesday, July 16th, at 11:00 a.m., both from Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Reverend Corey Pickens officiating. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to the Queens County Ground Search and Rescue or to the Special Olympics Lunenburg/Queens. Hard to believe that you are gone. Was just a few weeks ago you helped me decorate the truck for the parade and us girls giggling at you cause you was grunting to get on back of the truck. We had a lot of good times over the years, especially at our meetings. I would wait to see where you were sitting and when you go for a smoke break I would switch chairs and give you the little short legged one. When you came back and sit down all we could see was from your nose up and we laugh all over again.
So many memories and your time was cut way too short. Rest in peace Vick……..some day we will be all together again……..

She had been coming to swimming at the summer games for special olympics for many years, her compassion for everything got you hooked on her. She was funny, smart and alway had fun with her.
