Our Brother at Heart Dougie (Reid),
Words cannot express what we are feeling right now.Still trying to come to grips with this unexpected loss that has now become a reality.
We will always remember the goods times growing up and then into early adulthood driving around in the 71 Cutless Olds and later the 87 Honda Prelude cranking the tunes, driving crazy and of course- partying. We could always rely on you to get us a discount on food in the early hours of the morning after being out all night. This was the wild side of you that not many people knew. The private side of you was that we were never sure of a smile or a sarcastic remark when you walked into the room. However, we do remember you being the “meanest air guitar player” in the world- that status will never change.
Life is short and passes by very quickly- if time could be turned back it would of been nice to have one last face to face farewell. It seems that as time passes and we get older, that we get caught up in either our families or careers and the closeness of friendships slips away, and before you know it….
You will be greatly missed and always remembered. A quote from one of our favorite rock bands- “Rock & Roll All Night & Party Everyday”! We are positive you will carry this on in the afterlife.
Until We Meet Again…… Your Brothers In Arms,
Danny Mansfield (Francis)
Donnie Jollimore (Jens)
Derrick Ozon (Gus)
We love you Trevor!

What a great guy. I had the pleasue of working with Dougie. He was sure one of a kind. He hated when i would decorate the store for the holidays (or so he wanted us to think). but after a bit of nagging there he would be comming behind me with the ladder ready to hang snowflakes. Its hard to believe that someone that you spent almost everyday with for years is no longer here. He always had a hug for me and even a smile. He knew everything there was to know about music and when i would here a song and didn’t know the name or who sang it, there he was acting all smart while i croaked out the words for him. I often asked his advice about computers, because as he said i was computer stupid, ( he was right) and after he stopped laughing about my use of technical terms he had an answer. I will miss that grin that makes you wonder just what he was up to. I will miss you my friend . I was blessed to have had you in my life. I will remember you for always.

To Dougie:
I knew you for a long time and even had the privelage to work with you for 5 years at KFC. There are alot of memories like the one with the 71 Cutlass and going to Newfoundland just about record time as a plane. Also there was one time the bumper on that car was bend down and you came to our grandfathers house and drove the bumper against the big tree on the front lawn and floored the car and drove the bumper back in place. Only you with a background of auto repair could come up with that one….but it worked.
Well Dougie, knowing you and your family since I was about 12, it was hard saying farewell to Annie & Pam and now it is even harder to say farewell to you and is way too soon.
To Trevor:
You keep strong and with the support of your family and friends, you will be able to do it. My deepest sympathy to you Trev.
And to the rest of Dougie’s family:
Please accept my deepest sympathy. Thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. May you all Trust in God to guide you through!
