Whynot; Patsy Ann Elizabeth

November 2, 2022 104 Condolences

Patsyinframe 1

WHYNOT – Patsy Ann Elizabeth, 73, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away peacefully at home on October 31, 2022.
Born in Liverpool, Patsy was daughter of the late Reginald and Marion (Wagner) Whynot.
Mom loved her sweet companion Puppy. She was forever saying I love you puppy. He was her everything.
Mom loved to bowl and was on the Woman Bowling League for many years. She was also a member of the Queen’s County Ground Search and Rescue. In her spare time she would tell Dad she was going to town and would head to the Bowling Alley to do a little gambling on the VLT’s. She called it her time. She enjoyed playing bingo even though most of the time she never won and if she did win she wouldn’t tell Dad because he would always want half. During the summer mom looked forward to the yard sales. That woman was always looking for a bargain and trust me she always had a car load by the time she got home. In the winter she was excited as the Flea Markets started up at the Fire Hall. She would always take a few things to sell but always came home with more than what she went with.
Most of all she loved seeing everyone so she could have a good old chit chat and catch up with the ones she hadn’t seen in a long while. Most of all mom loved the family gatherings. It was the time that everyone came to her house to have some great food. Her best time was at Christmas she loved it so much just to have all the family around but I still think it was for the gifts. She was such a kid at heart. Her kids and grandchildren were her everything. As long as she had them around nothing else mattered.
Patsy is survived b y her daughter Penny of Liverpool, her sons Stephen (Terilee) of Brooklyn, Tony (Harry) of White Point, Jeff (Eric) of Brooklyn and Brian (Sandi) of St. John, NB. Her grandchildren Nathan (Renee), Cody (Karen), Kelsey (Evan), Brandon, Isaac (Sam), Daniel, Michael, Cameron and Kyle and her great grandson Owen. Her sisters Margaret (Carlton) Manthorne of Mill Village and Sharon Westlake of Western Head. Her brothers St. Claire (Janet) of Liverpool and Stephen (Doreen) of Brooklyn.
Besides her parents, Patsy was predeceased by her husband Roger, her sisters Mae Awalt, Phyllis Soderstrom and Barbara Fancy. Her brothers Clifford, Jack, Wilfred “Buzzy”, Peter, Gillie, Ricky and infant brother, Paul.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A graveside service will be held at a later date. No flowers, donations may be made to S.H.A.I.D. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com

It is with great sadness that I read about Patty’s passing. When I was a teenager I babysat all those kids while she & Roger either went to bingo or the wrestling matches. I send my deepest condolences to all the family plus I was not aware that Roger had passed also. : God has another Angel sitting beside him”

I grew up on “the hill” as Patsy’s neighbor. We used to go swimming down by the train bridge and one day, Patsy fell off the boom that was enclosing the pulp wood that was moving down the river. Luckily my three brothers were also there as she fell into the wood. They pulled her out and saved her life. Milford, Max, and Albert. Milford was the one who reached her and got her. She didn’t forget it. I was able to reunite them many years later and Patsy hugged and thanked him for her life. Sorry for your loss. She was a good lady.

Was sad to hear about Patsy’s death. Condolences to her family and friends. She was always up for a chat when she came to the office. We discussed all the world’s woes. She was feisty and we had some laughs. I know her family will miss her as she loved her children.
