WHYNOT – Mona V., 71, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens Manor on Friday, February 14, 2020.
Born in Southwest Port Mouton, Queens County, Mona was a daughter of the late E. Parker and Evelyn (Fisher) Huphman.
Mona worked in fish plants for many years. She enjoyed camping in her early years as well as quilting and sewing. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.
Surviving are her companion Aberdeen McInnis, her daughter Rosaleigh Whynot of Liverpool; her son Peter (Tabetha) of Liverpool. Her grandchildren Calvyn (Emma) Whynot, Skyla and Aurora Whynot, Dillon Proepper, Timothy and Dante Buchanan. Her great granddaughter Avah. Her sisters Glenda Cunningham of Liverpool; Beverly (Douglas) Croft of Milton; Sharon Cunningham of Bridgewater; Janet Roy of Southwest Port Mouton; Deborah (Billy) Hansen of Hunt’s Point; Evelyna Smith of Southwest Port Mouton. Her brothers Randy (Judy) of Brooklyn and Arnold (Nancy) of Southwest Port Mouton.
Besides, her parents, Mona was predeceased by her husband Melbourne and her brother Cyril.
Visitation will be Monday, February 17, 2020 from 7 until 9 p.m. and funeral service will be Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. both in Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Reverend Cherry Workman officiating. Reception to follow. Burial will be in Holy Redeemer Anglican Cemetery, Port Medway. Family flowers only, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
