WHYNOT – Jerry A., 73, of Milton, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Monday, July 26, 2021.
Born in Milton, Jerry was a son of the late Frank and Vera (Whynot) Whynot.
Jerry worked as an operator at the Region of Queens Landfill for over 30 years. He enjoyed working his hobby farm raising chickens and selling eggs. He loved to whittle and created sceneries, boats, cabins and folk art. He had a great sense of humour, loved to “pick” and enjoyed visiting his neighbours on his street everyday (weather permitting, of course).
Jerry is survived by his children: Mark Whynot (Monica Roberts) of Milton, Kim (Trevor) Munroe, Jenny (Sarah), Amanda Whynot (Blair Whalen), Michelle (Richard) Roy and Jason Whynot, all of Liverpool. His grandchildren Lydia (Jesse) Myalls, Molly Whynot, Jack, Kayleigh and Kinsley Munroe, Camryn Whynot, William, Averie and Jade Whalen, Caleb, Cody and Abigail Whynot, Myranda and Rayelle Roy and his great granddaughter Francine Myalls. His sisters Judy Ann (Roger) Williams of Lockeport, Alberta Hyson of Greenfield, Teresa Brewster and Brenda (Johnny) Cunningham, both of Brooklyn. His brothers Eugene “Hub” of South Brookfield and Gary (Debra) of Milton.
Besides his parents, Jerry was predeceased by his sisters Rosie Smith, Nina, Ann and Jenny Whynot and his brothers Charles, Lawrence and Sydney and Ronnie Oickle.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. No flowers, by request, donations may be made to the Queens County Branch of the Victorian Order of Nurses. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
