Gregory Wayne “Bones” Whynot

Whynot, Gregory Wayne “Bones”, 58, of Mersey Point, Queens County, passed away on Tuesday, November 10th, 2015, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool.
Born in Liverpool, he was a son of the late Dianne (Whynot) Rafuse, he was raised by his grandparents, the late Parkie and Emma Whynot.
Above all else, Greg was most passionate about his family and spending time with them. He had a great sense of humor and a warm loving heart. Greg was a sportsman, enjoying baseball, hockey, hunting, fishing and was well known for his skill of playing the game of washers. He was also very talented sketch artist and a great cook. He worked most of his life in the fishing industry, working for many years for C.W. MacLeod Fisheries and D.S. Whynot Fisheries.
He is survived by sons, Devin, Nicholas, both at home; sisters, Lorraine Whynot, of Waterville, Sheila (George) Williams, of Brooklyn; brothers, Millard (Sarah), Woodrow (Susan), both of Bridgewater; several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by loving wife Victoria.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 15th, 2015, from 7-9 p.m., and a Celebration of Greg’s Life will be held on Monday, November 16th, at 2:00 p.m., both from Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool.
