Dearest Marjorie ,
I am so saddened to hear about Ernie passing away . I remember him as a growing up friend : he use to go to Molega Lake where we camped , and we would all go swimming . On Friday nights we would hang out in town or we would sit on the steps of the old cement building by the corner of King street which has long been torn down. My friends and I use to say that he was one of the “good ole boys from Milton”. I saw Ernie some time ago and we had a good yarn about the ole days . May God comfort you ♥ .

With a heart full of kindness, and a soul full of courage he lived his life to the end. He didn’t seem to fear death and why would he? He had nothing to reproach himself for when the doors were opened to another life. It is without doubt that when the Higher Being greets him at the gates, he will have two rums and will say, sit down and have a drink with me old chum. He will ask Ern, ” what would you like to do now?” Ernie in his simplicity and without the care of worldly needs, will simply say –“I would like to go back and get Diana’s wood split up.” The Higher being will smile, say cheers, “perhaps another time we have a big old roast beef dinner waiting and the drinks are on me.” We loved you Ern, safe journey.
