Clyde Mitchell Whynot

Whynot, Clyde “Mitchell”, 73, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away suddenly at home on Tuesday, May 27th, 2014.

Born in Western Head, Queens County, he was a son of the late Ralph and Mildred (Dolliver) Whynot.

Mitchell worked as a spare for Bowater Mersey Paper Company Limited and full time with Michelin Tire before working as a painter with Steel and Engine Products Limited (STENPRO) in Liverpool. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, woodworking and fixing things, but loved Value Village. He was known by his family as self proclaimed “The Chief”.

He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years Karen (MacDougall); sons, Tim (Bonni), of Saint John, N.B., Stephen (Marie), of Toronto, Ontario; grandchildren Amanda (Andy) Foote, Elaine (Mike) Childhouse, Cole Ewasyn and Chris Ewasyn, great grandchildren Alexis and Brody Foote, sisters Patsy (Roland) Smith, of New Germany, Doris (George) Levy, of Mersey Point, Brenda (Lawrence) Boutilier, of Mersey Point; brother Randy (Debbie), of Mersey Point. Sister In law Carmen Whynot of Sudbury, Ont.

He was predeceased by his brother Ralph Jr..

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A Graveside Service will be held Sunday, June 1st, 2014, at 2:00 p.m., from the Zion United Cemetery, Payzant Street, Liverpool. Reception to follow in the funeral home.
