Catherine May Whynot

WHYNOT – Catherine May “Ninny”, age 82, of Milton, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Saturday, January 21, 2023.
Born in Liverpool, Ninny was a daughter of the late William “Billy” and Olive Foster.
Ninny was always the life of the party and brought immense joy to those around her. She had a great sense of humor and you never knew what she was going to say. Ninny was known for her larger-than-life personality, dwarfed only by her even larger heart. A straight shooter, Ninny told it like she saw it. She loved to sing and could often be seen singing in the band at the local dances and she would never miss a dance even if she wasn’t performing. Ninny was also a bingo fanatic, never missing a chance to play. Ninny biggest love was her talking parrot, Zoro and her beloved doggie, Precious. She was a devoted mom and grandmother that was always available to help her children and grandchildren. Ninny was truly one of a kind. We will miss her fun-loving, mischievous spirit and warm-hearted embrace.
Ninny is survived by her daughter, Angela (Dean) Wamboldt; son, Michael; grandchildren, Kim (Steven) Moulton, Julie (Michael) Whynot; great grandchildren Jordan, Emma (Owen), Tyler (Brittany), Tenesha (Wayne) and Tyson; great great grandchildren, Logan, Lucas, Liam, Lincoln, Levi, Lance, Eli and Bailey; brother, Earl.
Besides her parents, Ninny was predeceased by her loving husband, Jordan “Gug”; son, Timmy “Bubby”, daughter in law Brenda Whynot; sister, Betty.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. At Ninny’s request, there will be no funeral service at this time. Donations may be made to the IWK Hospital. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
