Carolyn Ann Whynot, mother, nanny, and great-nanny, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the age of 67.
Born in Liverpool, N.S., Carolyn was the daughter of the late Alphonse and Cinderella Sinclair.
Carolyn was most passionate about spending time with her family and friends. She was devoted to her family and was a very laid back, easy going woman who would do anything in her power to help another person. Carolyn had a vivacious and tenacious personality with a side of stubbornness and always made people around her laugh. She loved to love, doing so fiercely, and was known by many within the community as “Mama”, loved by all who came to know her.
Carolyn was the glue that held our family together and they meant everything to her with an extra special place in her heart for Bobbi-Joe and Eugene. She devoted her entire life to their care and well-being, continuously putting their needs well above her own. Her unwavering commitment to them allowed her to keep Bobbi-Joe and Eugene at home for as long as possible before moving to their forever home where they continue to receive the level of care that made her heart happy.
Carolyn will forever be remembered by her husband of 51 years, Eugene Sr. (Hub) and children Jackie (Danny) of South Brookfield, Tricia (Matthew) of Voglers Cove, Bobbi-Joe of Waterville, and Eugene Jr. Of Liverpool; grandchildren Sabrina, Hubert, Ariel, Madison, Dylan, and Brady; and great grand-daughter Adarah. Carolyn will also be missed by her brothers Larry (Sharon), Foncie, Paul (Shelley), David, Dale (Rosalind), and Arthur.
Besides her parents, Carolyn was predeceased by a son in infancy, brother Peter, and sister, Donalda.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home. A celebration of Carolyn’s life will be held Friday, August 27, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool, NS. Donations can be made to a charity of your choice in Carolyn’s name. Carolyn would most appreciate her memory being honored by simply taking the time to be with those you love as there is nothing more important than family. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
Those attending Carolyn’s service are asked to bring a mask, practice social distancing wherever possible, hand sanitize and provide contact tracing information. Livestreaming will be available the day of the service beginning at 11:00 at the following link: https://distantlink.com/Chandlers.html

Whynot Family,
My heartfelt sympathies to the family of Carolyn Whynot.
I knew Carolyn from the many meetings we had, along with her daughter Jackie, about her concerns regarding the care of her daughter Bobby-Jo.
She loved her children and nothing was more important than being there for those she loved.
I will always enjoy the memories of meeting Carolyn and she impressed on me of her self-sacrificing love for her family.
May you treasure the loving memories of your wonderful Mom.

Very sad to log on today and find out that Carolyn had passed. My condolences to Jackie and Trisha and the rest of your family. She always treated me like a member of the family during the short time I came to visit. Even wrote a song about her although she laughed when I played it for her because I pronounced her name wrong. She was tough as nails and fiercely protective of her kids. I’m sure her presence will be greatly missed.
