It is with great sadness that the family announces the final interment of Eugene D Westhaver QC and his wife Marjorie V Westhaver (nee McMurtry) on August 19th 2013 at 1100 AM in the United Church Cemetery on College St. Liverpool NS.

Eugene retired from the NB Department Justice as a Crown prosecutor and served in the RCMP he was an active member of Christ Church Parish Church. He was a lover of classical music and dogs. Marjorie was an ardent musician spending time in the church choir, supporting music festivals and playing piano and flute. She retired after many years of service as the secretary at Priestman Street School in Fredericton NB where she and Eugene lived for 46 years.

Eugene and Marjorie are survived by their sons John (Carol Lane) of Ontario and David (Donna Lange) of Quebec. Eugene’s sister Margaret Westerby; three nephews Roch Parisien, Denis Parisien and Aurele Parisien. Marjorie’s sister Selena (James) Gillies; nephew Rev. J. Peter Gillies (Greer Stackhouse) and their children Jesse, Gray and Emma : nieces, Susan (Michael) Wallace and their daughter Hannah and Marianne Stevens with her son Bruce MacMillian. As well as four nieces Lyn Lavander, Cindy Westhaver, Kristi Westhaver and Daphne Westhaver daughters of Eugene’s late brother Morris. Marjorie was predeceased by sisters Marion McMurtry and Ruth Stevens.

My sincere condolences to all family members and express my sadness at not being able to attend the committal service. I will always have fond memories in my heart of my brother Eugene and his wife Marjorie as well as my brother Maurice. They were very special to me and my thoughts and prayers are with them and their immediate family. I also wish to express condolences from my three sons, Roch (Ottawa), Denis (New York) and Aurèle (Montreal) and their families.
