WENTZELL – Sherry, 48. It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Sherry on May 11, 2011 after a long struggle with Multiple Sclerosis.
Born in Liverpool, she was the daughter of Marjorie and Lawrence Wentzell.
Sherry resided at Northwood where she received excellent care and had many friends. During her career, she worked for I.H. Mathers and in the Premier’s office for the Province of Nova Scotia. In addition to her parents, she will be missed by her sisters Nancy (Jim) Sproull, Valerie (Bernie Power), Janice (Kevin Miles) and her brother Byron.
Funeral service will be Saturday, May 14th, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. from St. John’s Anglican Church, Eagle Head. Chaplain Donald Lawton officiating. Burial will be in St. John’s Anglican Cemetery, West Berlin followed by a reception in St. John’s Anglican Hall. To the Wentzell Family ~
I worked with Sherry in the Premier’s Office from 1989 to 1993. She was a darling, so caring and she loved to laugh. We had a lot of fun in the office, shopping at Scotia Square, and getting together once in a while after work with the “Premier’s” girls for a glass of wine. I have some lovely pictures of Sherry on Canada Day, at Premier Bacon’s retirement etc. and will take them out tonight and raise a glass of wine in her honour and memory. With my deepest sympathy on the loss of your daughter and sister,
