We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our lovely mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Nancy Jane Wamboldt, 85, of Milton, Queens County, passed away peacefully on September 9, 2023 at Queens General Hospital, Liverpool.
Born in Liverpool, Nancy was the daughter of the late Dan and Daisy (Whynot) Whynot.
Nancy took great care of all of her family. Nancy started a family tradition of Sunday dinners which lasted for decades, she would start at 5am prepping the large meal for her family. She also looked forward to the family gatherings at 10 Mile Lake for a day of food and fun.
Nancy was very giving and generous, supporting many charities and organizations.
She looked forward to drives on the weekends with her husband Russell, as they stopped at
yard sales along the way, usually taking a grandchild with them. They especially loved day trips
to the Valley.
Nancy loved to dance and enjoyed attending the community dances with her friends. She
enjoyed shopping, playing cards and going for coffee with her friends and family. Her family was everything to her, you could always depend on her for anything you needed.
Nancy is survived by her daughters, Marilyn Wamboldt (Mike Thorburne) of Hunts Point, Pauline (James) Whynot of White Point, Janette Wamboldt of Liverpool; her son, Wesley Wamboldt of Milton and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Sisters Leanne (Kenny) Oickle of Liverpool and Karen Schrader of Bridgewater. Her brothers Paul (Eileen) and Terry, both of Liverpool, Raymond (Muriel) of Milton, Danny (Lorna) of Western Head and Calvin (Phyllis) of Downsview, ON.
Besides her parents, Nancy was predeceased by her husband Russell, her sons Arnold and
Brian, her daughter Joanne, her sisters Linda and Jeanette, and her brothers Irving and Roy.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A private family service will be held at a later date. No flowers by request, donations in Nancy’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com
