
Wallace, Ruth Elaine “Midge”, 82, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 1st, 2013, in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, surrounded by her loving family.
Born at Fort Point, Liverpool, on January 24th, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Ruth (Wentzell) Forbes.
Ruth graduated from Liverpool High School, and the Maritime Business College in Halifax. She was employed by Stairs and Morrow in Halifax; she then went to work for Mandem Corporation, a division of Ford Industries, in Toronto for 34 years.
Ruth was a former member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Mississauga, Ontario, Chapter #233; the Etobicoke Bowling and Recreation Club; the Canadian National Railway Pensioners Club, Toronto; and the Jolly Ponhookers of Greenfield, Nova Scotia
She was predeceased by her loving husband of 58 years, StanleyWallace; sister Betty Anne (Douglas) Wagner; brother Sam Forbes Jr..
She is survived by a brother Joe (Greta), of Bridgewater; brother-in-law Denis (Joan), of Burlington, Ontario; sister -in-law Pat Westwood, of Maple Ridge, British Columbia; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. There will be no funeral service at Ruth’s request. Donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Queens General Hospital Foundation. Online condolences may be made at www.chandlersfuneral.com

I had planned to visit here this evening but at least I hope she got my little note. When I think I Midge I think of all the beautiful flowere she and Stan grew when they were in Greenfield.

So sorry to hear of Ruth’s passing. I got to know her and Stanley quite well when I worked to Superstore in Liverpool. Always a quick smile and hug from both of them. You both are dearly missed by me. I loved Stanley’s tomatoes which I enjoyed in the summer and I will sorely miss the hugs from Ruth. I know you are together again and I will miss you. God has you in his hands, I have you in my heart.
