I am so sorry that Margaret has passed. I knew it was coming, but it still doesn’t seem real. We (meaning our little gang) had so many great times together between the card games, bingo, the fun trips shopping and just sitting down talking and laughing, and then there was the Christmas baking she and I did every year, you had first hand of how much fun we had doing that. She is going to be such a great miss in my life. Keep her memories close. If you need anything just call.

When I sold my house, I was not sure if that was a wise decision but then I moved into the same apartment building that Margaret was in and the first time I met her, I knew I had made the right decision. She stole my heart immediately and we had so many good laughs. She was such a kind, sweet person and never said anything bad about anyone. I am going to truly miss her but I know she is pain free now and in a better place. Will have many stories to tell of the times we shared together. I am very thankful that she came into my life and her memories will last as long as I do.

Glad we had the opportunity to work together for many years & very glad I can call her a friend, she will be missed.

Please know that you are not alone in your grief and sadness. Margaret was a very special part of our family. Her friendship with Effie (Audrey) was one of a kind. Her devotion to her family was one of the things that made her such a special lady. Her love for Cole had no limits she would light up whenever his name was mentioned. All of this put together made her a kind, gentle and loving soul. In the coming months you will think of many stories some will make you laugh and some will make you cry but they will all tell you one thing, she was a wonderful Mom, Nannie, Sister and Friend. I will remember Margaret with a smile on my face and a country song in my heart. Good bye dear friend now you can dance pain free with the angels

Margaret was such a great employee at the golf course with her gentle and kind personality and wonderful sense of humour. She put up with a bunch of high maintenance male golfers and would completely disarm us even on our best of days. She was a joy to be around and the sun was always shining with her around. I feel blessed knowing Margaret and will cherish the many wonderful memories.

To Margaret’s family;
Margaret and I go way, way back to our high school years. We just lived around the corner from each other and were the same age, by a few months. On weekends we went to Bridgewater, stayed with her sister, Marjorie, and went skating at the rink. We loved to skate, especially with the guys. We spent hours knitting ourselves a Mary Maxim sweater with skaters on the back. We were so proud to wear that sweater when we went skating. Then life got in the way, we both married and we kind of went our separate ways, but always kept in touch by phone. In later years I would visit and we would reminisce about all the crazy things we did when we were young.
Such is life and the years fly by so quickly, it’s hard to believe that was over 60 years ago, when we were young and “free.”
Rest easy Margaret till we meet again.
