Liz was a true fighter to the bitter end, and no matter how much she went through she always had a smile and was willing to sit and have a chat with you, she was truly an amazing woman. She struggled for many years now she is among the angels free of pain, and with some of her loved ones. Cyril and Darlene I wish I could be there for her funeral but know this she is in my thoughts and know I loved her dearly and whenever she seen me she always had a kind word to say….your mom will be missed by many she had lots of friends and everyone’s life she entered , she was loved by them all. Dear Family of Elizabeth Sunderland,
I want to say how grateful I was that Liz visited Aunt Frances faithfully during the years Fran was in Queen’s Manor.
I had several visits with Liz there and enjoyed meeting her.
I am reminded also of the lovely picture of Darlene sitting on the edge of Fran’s bed. Darlene has a big friendly smile. I don’t recall meeting Cyril in recent years, but my blessings to all of you.

I was very sad to hear of your mother’s passing. Her pictures in the video tribute are beautiful. She was such a nice lady and always smiling. I always felt welcomed and comfortable in your home, even on the days when she probably didn’t feel like having loud kids around.
Darlene, you have a smile just like your mothers. I haven’t seen you in such a long time; my thoughts and prayers are with you today. My deepest sympathy to you and your family.

Thank you everyone for the kind words. I am home in BC now and miss my mom daily. Whenever I would be out doing errands and arrived home, I would pick up the phone and call my mom. She always wanted to know what I was doing and how her grand-doggies were doing. I would tell her how lovable Franklin is and he gives the best puppy hugs ever. I give my doggies extra hugs now from mom.
My mom was a special person and put up with more pain than anyone could imagine. She would try to hide her pain from me, but a daughter knows.
My partner and I so very much wanted mom to meet her grand-doggies this Christmas and now she is…
I will always love you mom.
