STEVENS – Mary L.M., 75, of Port Medway, Queens County, passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2019 in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool.
Born in Liverpool, Mary was a daughter of the late Harry and Lillian (Clattenburg) Rogers.
Mary enjoyed simple tastes in life, whether it being spending time with her family at Christmas and other special occasions, reading, television, flowers or gardening. She will be fondly remembered by her family as a “connoisseur of fine foods.”
Mary is survived by her daughter Shelly (Wade) Moore and her sons Jamie (Celeste) and John (Heather), all of Port Medway. Her grandchildren Brendan and Isaac Stevens and Gabriel, Jessica and Noah Stevens. Her sister Cathy (Herb) Carlson of Ontario and her brothers Norman (Wendy) of Brooklyn, David of Liverpool and Donnie (Helen) of Kamloops, BC.
Besides her parents, Mary was also predeceased by her sisters Linda Parnell and Cindy Bagshaw and her brothers Paul, Billy and Arnie.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. Family will receive friends on Friday evening (October 11, 2019) from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in Chandlers’’ Funeral Chapel, 91 Union Street, Liverpool. Prayers will be said in memory of Mary at 8:00 p.m. Reverend Judy Cross officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date. No flowers by request, donations in Mary’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com

It broke my heart to hear of Mary’s passing. I have very fond memories of Mary starting when l was a teenager babysitting her young children. She was Beautiful inside and out. Remembering your Family from Ponhook days – the 80’s. I found your Mom so easy and comfortable to talk to – looking thru the Video ( thank you ) I can relate to her -just one yr older than her. My kids are Ange, Craig, and Crystal, Falkenham – they remember all of you. also remembering when your Dad wanted a pot for Lobsters – When he brought it back it was heavy – I wondered why he hadn’t dumped the water out. It was full of Lobsters !! – I said “You can borrow the pot anytime. Bless your Mom for Who she was – and blessings to each of you – as you go on without her.
