Ernst Hermann Stamm passed away peacefully on February 21, 2022 in the arms of his beloved wife.
Ernie was born in1956, the middle child to Ernst and Emma (Nigg) Stamm.
Ernie grew up together with his two sisters, Claire and Monika, high up in the mountains of Switzerland. After graduating from nursing school, he worked for many years as a mental health nurse and did some law enforcement. His big dream, since childhood, was Canada. So, when the opportunity came, he, and his wife, immigrated and started a new life on an old farm. He enjoyed working the land and was proud of the achievements. He loved his new home here in North Queens. He was a member of the North Queens Fire Department since immigration and answered many calls. Photography was a passion of his as well as ham radio. He was a great uncle to his nieces and nephews and kept in close contact.
Ernie is survived by his wife, Esther and his mother Emmi.
He is predeceased by his father, his favourite nana Kaethi, and his brothers-in-law Martin and Rolf.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. Celebration of Ernie’s life will be held at the North Queens Fire Hall in Caledonia, on April 2, 2022 at 2:00 p.m., followed by a reception. Donations may be made to North Queens Fire Association. Online condolences may be made to www.chandlersfuneral.com.
You have gone to a better place however live in our hearts forever.

Very sorry to hear of Ernie’s passing. He played an instrumental part in the lives of me and my sister when he let us “borrow” two baby goats from his farm to raise for the summer and show in 4-H. A loss for the NQ community for sure. His family are in ny thoughts.
