Harriet Emma “Hattie” Spinney

Spinney, Harriet Emma “Hattie”, 98, of White Point, Queens County, passed away on Sunday, July 1st, 2012, in Queens Manor, Liverpool.

Born in White Point, she was the daughter of the late William and Alice (Rabey) Doggett.

 Hattie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and a great-great-grandmother. She was a member of the Wesley United Church, Hunts Point and a life member of the U.C.W.. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

 

She is survived by daughters Mildred Cook, of Port Alberni, B.C. Gladys (Francis) Mansfield, of Liverpool, Carol (Borden) Whynot, of Liverpool, Alice (Walter) Kempton, of Port Alberni, B.C.; sons Douglas (Eva), of White Point, Barry (Wanda), of Milton; twenty one grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband Lewis; sons Donald and Laurie; brothers Austin, Almond, Harry and Raymond.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 3rd, 2012, from 7-9 p.m., and a Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 4th, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception, all from Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Reverend Neil MacDonald officiating. Burial will be held in the Laurel Hill Cemetery, Port Mouton. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to Queens Manor, Liverpool.
