He worked all over North America as a pipefitter and boilermaker, having been a member of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers, Lodge #73 and the United Association of Pipefitters. He also had his pilots license and was a certified diver. He was happiest when spending time at his camp in the woods, hunting, fishing and canoeing around the lake with Millie.

He is survived by his loving wife, Millie; daughters, Tammy (Joe) Colburne, of Fordland, Missouri, U.S.A., Debbie, of Alberta; son, Kevin (Nancy), of Little River, New Brunswick; stepdaughter, Dawn Hanley, of Mersey Point; stepsons, Eddie Greek, of Dartmouth, Vance (Amanda) Greek, of Danesville; stepson-in-law, Maurice Wagner; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren and his loving buddy, Boots.

He was predeceased by a stepdaughter, Pamela Wagner; great-grandson, Andrew Jordan and step son in law, Bernard Hanley.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. At Glen’s request, there will be no funeral service. No flowers by request. Memorial donations may be made to I.W.K. Children’s Hospital. To share memories or condolences, please visit www.chandlersfuneral.com

Millie, It’s been a while since Glen and I last talked. I remember our work days together on large projects in Greenwood and St.John where I met you for the first time. Glen knew how to get the job done right and where the people were to do it right. He also knew how to celebrate the job being done. It is an honor to have been his work mate for those years and friend of almost fifty years. Rest in peace Glen. You will be missed.

Deepest condolences to the entire Family. Glen was an Uncle to me from another lifetime ago, I admired him for many reasons and in recent years was sort of trying to find him and reconnect to say Thank you for being a great role model to us when we were kids. This is not how I wanted to find him for sure. God bless you all, I know he will be sorely missed.

We are so sorry for your family’s loss with the passing of Glen. When we heard the news it rekindled a lot of fond memories when he was part of our family. Dad and Glen worked together and spent some time fishing Folly Mountain with him and Elmer at the camp, as well as stories over beverages. My greatest memories of Glen was he always took the time to listen to what a child had to say in a room full of adults, whenever you asked him something and was always willing to pass on good advice.
He was definitely ” A man among men”. Rest in peace ” Kid”.

Condolence from Karla Milton on September 13th, 2020 1:59 am

Dearest Millie,
Mom (Janis Hodges) just called about Glen’s passing.
Glenny (as I knew him) was a huge part of my childhood. He lived away during when I was young and I was always so happy to see him when he visited. He seemed larger than life. He was a great friend of Dad’s. Many of Dad’s diving events involved Glenny.
It has been years since I spoke with him on Facebook but it was great to reconnect.
I was very saddened to hear of his passing.
Please accept my condolences.
Karla Milton

Dear Millie & family,

I’m heartbroken to have found this obituary today & learn that dad passed away. He’s been on my mind & of course in my prayers too. I wish I’d thought to do an internet search sooner. More than that I wish I could make this better for you. I am so deeply sorry for your loss. I will always be grateful that you had each other, I just wish it could have been for longer.

My deepest condolences.

To Glen’s family, I offer my condolences…. I met Glen in Goose Bay Labrador in 1989… I was his apprentice and to this day, the smartest pipefitter I had the pleasure of working with…. “Old Stock” he called me… I called him in May of 2020 to reconnect… I will miss him and appreciate everything he taught me…
