
Smith – Myrtle D., 88, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 28th, 2014, in Ryan Hall, Bridgewater, Lunenburg County surrounded by her family.
Born in Dodsland, Saskatchewan, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Lulu (Garnett) Wilson.
Myrtle enjoyed sewing, knitting and drawing. She was a faithful walker and loved to skate in her early years. She also loved music, especially gospel, and was known to sing along. She was a member of the Liverpool United Baptist Church. She will be fondly remembered as a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by daughters, Sherilan Anthony, of Liverpool, Bonny Gay (Harley) Hemeon, of West Berlin; sons, Rickey (Lorna), of Orleans, Ontario, Terry (Sharon), of New Minas; eleven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Milford, her infant grandson Matthew, sisters, Verna McRae, Mary Allcock, Violet York, Lillian Lang, Phyllis Cusack; brother, Raymond.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool where visitation will be Monday, November 3, 2014 from 7 until 9 p.m. and funeral service will be Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.. Reverend Dr. Steven Hopper officiating. A private family interment will be held at a later time.
