
Smith, Ada Virginia, age 88, of Mill Village, Queens County, passed away peacefully at Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Tuesday August 1, 2017.
Born in Liverpool she was a daughter of the late William and Myrtle (Hull) Connolly.
Ada was a member of the former All Saints Anglican Church, Mill Village and a current member of Trinity Anglican Church, Liverpool and a member of the ACW. She enjoyed knitting and playing cards such as 45’s and crib (she was known to be quite competitive!). She will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother with her biggest love being her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by her sons Wayne of Mill Village and Brian (Shirley) of Dartmouth. Her grandchildren Kendra Smith, Carina Smith and Jessica (Jeffrey) Cormier and her great grandchildren Regan, Quinn, Jaxon and Avelyn Cormier. Her sisters June MacDonald of Port Mouton and Mary (Ivan) Stewart of Hebbville.
She was predeceased by her husband of fifty years, Kenneth, her sister Margaret Knock and her brothers Samuel and Ralph.
Visitation will be Friday, August 4, 2017 from 7 until 9 p.m. in Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Funeral service will be Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 2:30 p.m. in Trinity Anglican Church, Liverpool. Reverend Michelle Cockell officiating. Reception to follow in the parish hall.
