It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Paul Gregory Shot at Queens General Hospital, Liverpool, NS February 23, 2024, with his family by his side.
Paul was the son of the late Dora and Peter Shot of Liverpool, NS.
Surviving his death is his wife Shirley (Berman) Shot of 52 years; daughter Kendra of Brooklyn and son Gregory (Kara) of Mersey Point. Paul’s four grandsons were the light of his life. Logan Shot of Calgary, AB, Camden Shot-Bishop of Halifax, Reagan Shot of Brooklyn, and Crew Shot of Mersey Point, all of NS. Paul is survived by two siblings, Michael Shot (Lauretta) Cowichan Bay, BC and Susan Shot-Bishop of Duncan, BC and several nieces and nephews.
Paul spent 37 good years, (his words) working for Michelin Tire, Bridgewater where he made numerous friends through the years. He was a founding member of Brooklyn Marina, where he served as chair for many years. He spent most summers building and re-building piers and anything else that needed to be done. This always under the watchful eye of his cherished boat Witchy Woman. He was a member of Zion United Church, Liverpool.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. At his request there will not be a funeral service. Burial will take place at a later date in the United Church Cemetery, Payzant Street, Liverpool, NS. A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at that time. No flowers by request. Donations may be made in Paul’s memory to the lunch program, for the children at Dr. J C Wickwire Academy, Box 1180, 311 Old Port Mouton Road, Liverpool, NS. B0T 1K0.
