Traditional Services
The traditional service is a meaningful expression for the family providing relatives and friends an opportunity to express their love, condolences, or tributes.
Generally, a member of the clergy, celebrant, or other person chosen by the family, conducts a service of commemoration. We encourage the active participation of the family in helping plan this part of the service. Many times family members take part by giving a reading, singing, or assisting the clergy.
Chandlers’ services do not end once the funeral has been completed, as we help the survivors in the first stages of settling their loved ones’ estate. We assist by helping the family fill out and file the Canada Pension Plan forms, plus provide a number of other resources that may be of assistance. For more complicated and difficult estates, we offer a comprehensive estate settlement guide.
