I was just looking for my fathers obituary and noticed this. Had a lot of respect for Mrs. Selig. I always ask about her to my mother before she passed. Ask Bertha, mom said .
Many great memories. I used to mow her lawn for her in Port Mouton. She was always so nice and polite. I took lessons from her son Neil. She lived a long life … Doris did. Always spoke of Mark and Neil and Bertha. You all were very lucky to have such a loving mother/grandmother.
Neil, Mark, and Bertha, and rest of the Selig family… the Smith family would like to pass our condolences to you at this time. She will be missed .

Fond memories …. going to Mrs. Selig’s house…..she always had a big smile when she opened the door, yelling at the dog to stop barking at her guests…….then she would try to load a dish up with food for you…..and of course tea 🙂 She loved when we took my kids for a visit and looked forward to their pics in her xmas card. She sure did make some beautiful quilts in her day, she would pull them all out to show us her latest ones.
