Dear William, Andrew and Cecil, I knew this was coming but that doesn’t make it any easier. Clara was smart, funny, curious, brave and had a wry sense of humour. She knew about moths, butterflies, trees, wild flowers, shipwrecks and so much more. She was the best conversation. And she loved Summerville Beach and Port Mouton Bay and worked to protect them. There aren’t too many like her. And I will miss her. I am so sorry for your loss.

CJ was a smart cookie with a hilarious sense of humor. I’ll never forget her response when asked her how you catch a rabbit..thinking she would tell me how to set up a snare…instead she said in her best Elmer Fudd voice, “you have to be vewee vewee quiet” go which we both laughed until our faces and sides ached. I’ll miss her forever. She was a gem. Smart, comical, very knowledgeable about so many things…and she loved her boys..
