
ROY – Valerie Jane, 71, of Southwest Port Mouton, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Sunday, April 10, 2016.
Born in Southwest Port Mouton, she was a daughter of the late Victor and Pearl (MacLeod) Fisher.
Janie worked for C. W. MacLeod Fisheries for a number of years.
Surviving are her sisters Fallie (Gerald) Burgess, Mae Fisher; her brothers Benny (Miriam) and Clyde (Patty), her brother in law Orean Whynot; all of Southwest Port Mouton as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Reid, her sister Carol and her brother Alvin.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A graveside memorial service will be held Thursday, April 14, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Southwest Port Mouton Community Cemetery.
