Sara “Sally” Roy

Roy; Sara “Sally”, 80, of Southwest Port Mouton, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Wednesday, October 19, 2022.

Born in South West Port Mouton, Sally was a daughter of the late Daniel and Marion (White) Roy.

Sally was employed in the local fish plant in her younger days, before spending most of her working life in the hospitality industry. She worked at the Ox Bow Motel in Shelburne, White Point Lodge and finally Seascape Restaurant in Port Mouton over the years. She truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures such as spending time with friends and family, cooking, baking, playing bingo, reading and quilting. Sally enjoyed entertaining family and friends, especially on Christmas eve. Her most cherished role in life was as a mother and a grandmother. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother that was always available to help with her children and grandchildren. We will cherish the impact she made on our lives and the fond memories of love and laughter we shared with her. She was loved and will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her sons, Chuck (Karen Boland), Billy (Angela) and Danny (Lynn), all of Port Mouton; grandchildren, Brayden, Brandon, MacKenzie, Nathan (Destiny) and Zachary (Sarah); great-grandchildren Leila, Zaylee, Penelope and Bentley; many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her loving husband, Jordan; sisters, Connie, Nancy and Janine “Bunny”.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A private family service will be held at a later date in Southwest Port Mouton Community Cemetery. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the Queens General Hospital Foundation. To share memories or condolences, please visit www.chandlersfuneral.com
