I was very sorry to hear of your mother/s passing from her sister Helen…Every time I looked at Helen it reminded me of Phylis. Even though I had not met her personnaly I felt like I have known her for years. I did have the opportunity to speak with her once when I was at Helens and she seemed like such a gracious woman. I understand she has been sick for a great portion of her life but did not complain..what a remarkable woman. I hope all your fond memories of Phylis help you through this most difficult time and I hope through her strong faith it will help all of you to heal. My deepest sympathy thoughts and prayers go out to all of you. Claire Seaman

,
Phyllis was a very unique lady. She had a mystical quality about her. She loved to tell stories and listen to music, and above all else, she loved her children and supported them, in every way. They too loved her, with all their hearts. When Phyllis needed something, they all jumped to the occasion, a hamburger, an outing,Pop and Candy for her evening snack, a new dress. Whatever it was, it arrived as ordered. NO QUESTIONS ASKED.
Viola (Tootsie), would do anything for her mother-in-law,and if the others were not able to go,she was there.
It was Tootsie who stayed with Phyllis on her last night on earth. They were all going to take turns. That night after everyone had gone home,Tootsie stayed by the bed, holding Phyllis’s hand, and telling her how much she loved her,and praying to God, if you take Phyllis, please let it be on my watch. This was very important to Tootsie, she wanted to be there, in her final moments. God granted Tootsie her wish.
Phyllis will be missed by all,and all who knew her.
She touched so many lives.
Pete and I are so sorry for your loss, at this very difficult time
