Mary Ann – So saddened to hear of the passing of John. While we did not know John real well since our time living on Carter’s Beach Road, he always treated us in a very gentleman and peaceful manner. He was an extremely genuine and down to earth individual with no airs about him, and we will miss him in the neighbourhood. Be at some peace to know that others also think very, very highly of Johnny, and that they now have an empty spot in their hearts. Hugs to you Mary Ann and take care.

    Maryann, Jeffery and Todd,
We’re very sorry for your loss. Johnny was a wonderful neighbor and friend. We had known Johnny for many years. He was always quiet and soft-spoken. He had an acute memory (he knew the names of all the rocks off-shore) and curiosity – often peppered with humour. He always had time for you and was always helpful. Johnny was hard-working. He loved working with his hands – often to be found in his building. Other times you might find him inside, sitting in his favourite chair or outside, in his lawn chair underneath a canopy of trees…or off with his best friend, Wilfred. He was also sentimental and nostalgic. When we returned in May each year, he thoroughly enjoyed the sight and smell of the smoke circling from our chimney,
Johnny, we will be thinking of you each time we light a fire and we know your memory will also glow in the hearts of those that had the good fortune to know you.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of Johnny’s family.
