Roy – Barbara M., 83, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away on Thursday, July 21st, 2022 in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool.

Born in Liverpool, Barbara was a daughter of the late Charles and Lillian (Wamboldt) Veinot.

Barbara was employed at Seldon’s Drug Store before spending many years working in the old Liverpool Metropolitan Store. She was well known for her ability to hook and braid rugs. Barbara especially enjoyed being with her family starting in her younger years spending time in Port Medway with her grandmother and grandfather Wamboldt and later with her family at the family cabin in Port L’Herbert. Barbara was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who got joy from her family and was so proud of their accomplishments. She is much loved and will be greatly missed.

Barbara is survived by her loving husband, Cyril James “Jim”; daughter, Patricia (Ernest) Doucette of Liverpool; son, Barry (Connie) of Mount Pleasant; daughter-in-law, Sarka of Liverpool; grandchildren, Daniel, Michael and Kyle Doucette, Amanda, Kristy and Evan Roy; great grandchildren, Brayden, Brielle, Logan, Romee, Isla, Isaiah, Carter, Lincoln and Wyatt; sisters, Peggy (Richard) Hatt of Milton and Leanne (Stephen) White of Western Head; brother Jack (Evelyn) of Greenfield; many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Barbara was predeceased by her sons, Jody and Stephen.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. At Barbara’s request, there will be no funeral service. A family gathering will be held at a later date.
