Boundless Love and Light
Karyn J. ROCHFORD (WALTHERR)
February 3, 1942 – December 15, 2015
“Dear, dear Karyn, Mom, Cousin, Karynski… You are among the few individuals in this world that everyone unanimously finds beautiful. Not only do we find comfort in your radiant smile – Your sparkling soul and your unparalleled ability to love makes you so unique as you see the good in all of us, no matter what. We can exchange with you for hours and still find a million other questions we’d like to hear your views on. You are a breath of life and your caring mind is so lovely and special we can’t help but fall in love with you again and again.”
It is with deep sadness that we announce Karyn’s sudden departure from our world. Bright shining star to her late parents Pepper and Carlie, eternally fantastic Mom to her sons Tyler and Ryan from her first marriage to Michael, magical partner in crime to her grandchildren Gabrielle, Alexandra, Matteo and Romy, loving “sister” to her cousin Linda, and all-encompassing music for the heart of her cherished partner Bobby, she will remain omnipresent and celebrated during the most precious events of our lives as we travel forward.
Born in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, Karyn studied business administration at St. Francis Xavier University, but followed her passion to become a wonderfully skilled artist. Primarily an oil painter, her tremendous creativity and curiosity also brought to life one-of-a-kind sculptures, charcoal portraits, ceramics, stained glass pieces and mosaics.
We tangibly feel the healing light she continues to pour on us with every breath we take, with every ray of sunshine that caresses our cheeks. Loving, uplifting thoughts go out to Nancy, Ioana, Krista, Jamie, Sam, Jessica, Holly, Benjamin, Sandi, Monique T, Terry, Karen, Monique J, Michele, José and many, many other exceptional individuals she held dear to her heart.
We will always remember you, our love, our angel.
Service to be held in the near future – Details to be announced in the coming weeks.

It is with great sadness that I learned of the tragic passing of Karyn. I will always remember her as I last saw her at the 744 Restaurant in Toronto this past fall – so full of radiant joy as she danced on the dance floor. My sincere condolences to Bobby, and her dear family and friends that loved her so. She will live on in the hearts of many forever.

What lovely sentiments in memory of Karyn, not only well written but so true. I only knew Karyn for a brief time but she was always the nicest person, not only to her Mom “Pepper” but to all of us around her. She seemed to have a boundless love for all things. I find myself thinking of her and am very sad to know I will never be the recipient of her warmth again. It is so sad.
My sympathies to her family and friends in your loss. Janet

To Karyn’s family::
Have known Karyn forever. I used to get my hair done by her Mum every week when I worked at the bank. She was such a gracious and down-to-earth lady and always had a smile on her face. She is going to be missed. Please accept our condolences at this very difficult time.
