RAFUSE, James (Jim, Jimmy) Alvin – On Saturday January 3, 2015, James (Jim, Jimmy) Alvin Rafuse joined his beloved Rosalie (predeceased May 10, 2007) and although he is no longer in pain he leaves behind some broken hearts. He fought a good fight and wanted to make it to his birthday back in October which he did. His sisters Jackie Rafuse Bourdages-Hatt, Pat Rafuse-Patterson and Beverly (Rafuse) Lynch made it to hospital from Nova Scotia to visit when he was told he could not go back home. Unfortunately his two sisters Jeannette Rafuse Rogers and Edith Rafuse could not make the journey due to health issues but joined the get-together via skype. He was surrounded by his children Shelley (Rafuse) Larochelle and husband Gaston of Timmins, Stephen Rafuse of North Bay, and his wife Louise and Peter Rafuse of Vancouver. He leaves behind a wonderful Lady Friend and long time companion Lorraine Ross of Sudbury as well as his four grandchildren, Jasmine Rafuse of Stratford, Nicolas and Alycia Larochelle of Timmins and Jennifer Rafuse of Noelville as well as many nieces and nephews spread throughout whom he loved and enjoyed their company on every occasion possible. He will be remembered by many throughout Sudbury and Canada as a wonderful man with a very loving and giving heart. There will be no services here in Sudbury but will be a service this summer in Liverpool, Nova Scotia when He joins Rosalie once again. Donations to the Lung Association would be greatly appreciated.
