
PENTZ – Ruby Y., 90, of Beach Meadows, Queens County, passed away peacefully in Queens General Hospital, Liverpool on Thursday, November 29th, 2012.
Born in Beach Meadows, she was a daughter of the late Boardman and Verta (Conrad) Pentz.
Ruby was an active member of Emmanuel United Church as well as the U.C.W., the Mission and Service Fund and was involved in Presbytery and the Association of Churches. She was a former member of the Auxiliary for Queens Manor, Liverpool and enjoyed being active in her community with events and charities. She also enjoyed quilting in the local quilting bees.
She is survived by her cousin Victoria Wentzell of Liverpool.
She was predeceased by her sister Gloria.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. Funeral service will be held Monday, December 3rd, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. from Emmanuel United Church, Beach Meadows. Lay Minister Peter Anthony officiating. Burial will be in Beach Meadows Cemetery. No flowers by request. Donations may be made to Emmanuel United Church or to any charity.
