I was so surprised to hear about Paul, I thought he was feeling better. He was a wonderful man. He was always like a grandfather to my kids, especially when Cory was small. Cory always went over for pie and to sit on the doorstep. He always had nicknames like kiddo, guy for us. Great great man, he will be sadly missed. To Joan, take care. Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. HUGS

Paulette and Family,
Sorry to hear of Paul’s passing.
I have fond memories of the “old days”when we were in the gun club together.
One of his favorite sayings was “We’ll look back on this and laugh and laugh”
He was a kind and gentle soul and the world is always a poorer one when one of his kind departs.

Oh dear, where are the words? When I moved back to Liverpool, the first people I encountered as great friends of my Moms were Paul and Dora. After several years and the passing of Dora, I realized just what a friend Paul was. Even after Paul and Joan were married, my calls for help were always answered by both of them. Joan, I am so sorry for the loss of your love and my Buddy Paul. I will never forget him. RIP, sweet man!!

Condolence from Cameron, Marci, Amanda and Nick McLean on April 10th, 2015 3:48 pm

Although I have lost a great Uncle I know we have all lost a true gentleman and role model. Reading the condolences for Uncle Paul from so many friends and family made me smile and think back to a much simpler time of trips to the cabin, rides in the army truck (how did that thing pass inspection!) and his amazing ability to fix vitually anything. I can still vividly hear his voice saying “hey guy”, which was his greeting everytime I walked in the house. That voice and smile will be forever (thankfully) etched in my brain. Thinking of you all at this difficult time and so very sorry we are unable to be with you in person. Cameron McLean

To Joan, Paulette, Danny and Families,

We would like to offer our sincere condolences to you and your families. Paul has been a great neighbor on Meadow Pond Lane for us for 32 years. Those who were fortunate to know Paul would know how good of a man, husband, father and grandfather he was. For the past couple of months it has been so different for us to not see Paul in the yard, in his vehicle or the house lit up after dark. He will be sadly missed but fondly remembered.

Bill and Diane

Words can not express the sadness we are feeling with the loss of Uncle Paul. Our visits to Liverpool remain a truly special memory to me. Running around Meadow Pond Lane trying to keep up with Paul was a tough task of my younger days. Whether it was zipping up and down on the scooter or the army truck, it was always a great time. Who ever knew apples flew farther when you put them on the end of a stick?? Paul did. Who was driving a Vespa before Vespas became cool again. Paul was. Joan, I am sorry we never got to know each other very well. I only hope you find a little comfort in the words that Paul’s friends and families have put here and I am sure in their cards. Danny and Sharon, the world has lost a true gentleman. Our thoughts are with you all during this tough time. I am sorry we were not able to be there in person. Love to all, Robbie and family.
