We would like to offer your family our condolences. We have been visiting our mother in the hospital since May and they shared a room there for a time, (and then figured out that that her husband Ralph used to work for our dad Frank. Ralph and Frank both died in 1992, and they must have been working together up in heaven for a bit so our families would meet up again while our mothers were in hospital.) We often passed in the halls and rooms at Queens general hospital. We have seen the tremendous love and support Geraldine (Shirley) had. Cookie especially spent a lot of time there and I know your mother appreciated that and knew that she was loved. We shared a difficult time in the hospital together and it was comforting to see Cookie visiting there as she often looked out for our own mom as well. Our condolences on your loss. Thanks for your compassion for others.
From The Van Zutphens’ ; Elaine, Joanne, Bruce and Carolyn and our mom Maureitus.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. As a young boy, I spent many hours at Ralph and shirl’s home. They were like second parents to a couple of us who Ralph took fishing many, many times and shirley would always welcome us to come over nights to hear Ralph and his father play music. My deepest condolences go out to Rose, Virginia, Jimmy and all their families. Bless you all.

We knew that morning
That god would call your name
In life we loved you dearly
In death we do the same
It broke our hearts to lose you
You did not go alone
For parts of us were with you
The day god called you home
You left us beautiful memories
your love is still our guide
And though we cannot see you
your always by our side
Our family chain is broken
and nothing seems the same
But as god calls us one by one
The chain will link again
Love you forever
