Stephen Edward Wolfe

Wolfe – Stephen Edward, age 66, of Garden Lots, Lunenburg County, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Fisherman’s Memorial Hospital, Lunenburg.

Born in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, Stephen was a son of the late Archibald and Agnes (Peters) Wolfe.

Stephen was employed for over 30 years at the Michelin in tire production before spending the last 15 years working at the Liverpool Superstore. Stephen was a strong man with a heart of gold. He was a special person… ..stubborn at times, but always loveable, he always believed the best in anyone and everyone, and had no hesitation in helping anyone in need. He just truly believed that if you give people a chance you would be rewarded, not that he was ever looking for a reward. Most of his stories he told were meant to make you laugh, and to bring a smile to your face. Stephen just loved to be around people to talk and interact. It’s one of the reasons he loved to go to events such as cards (crib) and bingo. As much as Stephen loved interacting with people there was nothing more in this world that he loved then his family. They were his life. Stephen enjoyed camping at Hibernia Campground and going for drives, especially with his sidekick, Brownie. Stephen was loved and he will be greatly missed.

Stephen is survived by a daughter Theresa Butler (Ted Zwicker) of Garden Lots; grandchildren, Brianna (Quinten), Brooke and Layton; sisters, Catherine MacEachern of Liverpool, Sharon (Bruce) Doggett of North Bay, Ontario; brothers, Robert (Charlotte), Derhyk (Ann) both of Brooklyn; many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Stephen was predeceased by half brother, Leo and brother, Gary “Alfie”

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date. No flowers by request, donations may be made to the SHAID Tree Animal Shelter or the Rose Fund. To share memories or condolences, please visit www.chandlersfuneral.com

The family would like to extend a  thank you to Stephen’s Palliative care team, VON Lunenburg County, Lunenburg Home Support, his private care ladies, staff at Fisherman’s and the rest of his medical care team for their care and support over the last few months.
