WILLIAMS – Morton D., 83, of Liverpool, Queens County, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 5, 2022.
Born in East Jordan, Morton was a son of the late Samuel and Beryl (Conrad) Williams and his adopted parents Leland and Edith (Douglas) Smith.
Morton had a variety of employment opportunities throughout his working career which included working at Michelin and Steel and Engine Products Limited (STENPRO). He also worked at the Liverpool Bowling Alley for a time as well as Liverpool Canadian Tire. His last employment prior to his retirement was with Liverpool Home Hardware where his friendliness and knowledge was appreciated by all who knew him. Morton was a long standing member of the Liverpool Baptist Church and a member of the church choir. He had a love for animals and will be sadly missed but fondly remembered for his generous hugs. He was an amazing and talented artist with sketching and painting being his medium. He loved to spend time with his family especially his granddaughters.
Morton is survived by his wife, Marion (Wolfe), his daughter Deborah “Debbie” and his son Daniel “Dan” (Alison, both of Liverpool. His grand daughters Gwendolyn and Georgia. His sister Annie Downer of Ontario and his brother Earl (Jessie “Hun”) of Shelburne.
Besides his parents and his adopted parents, Morton was predeceased by his sister Shirley Stoddart, his twin sister Vera Roach and his adopted sisters Ella Richards (Erwin) and Ethel Richards (Sinclair).
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool where visitation will be held Thursday, September 8, 2022 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. and where funeral service will be held Friday, September 9, 2022 at 11:00 a.m.. Pastor Noah Lohnes officiating. Reception to follow. Burial will be in Liverpool Baptist Cemetery. No flowers by request, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
