John Edward “Junior” Williams

WILLIAMS – John Edward “Junior”, 71, of Port Mouton, Queens County, NS., passed away in South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, on Sunday, February 25, 2024 with family by his side.
Born in Liverpool, Junior was a son of the late John and Etta (Roy) Williams.
Junior led an extraordinary life, through out his 71 years here on earth. In his younger years he worked for Bud McLeod’s Fish Plant, but then went on to fish on the Atlantic right up until his retirement at the age of sixty. Junior was always an active man and kept himself busy building two houses and renovating a third. Junior’s kind nature meant he was always there to help those in need and lend a hand. Back in Junior’s late thirties he restarted playing guitar and singing. This special gift that he had continued and grew, for Junior was known as a social butterfly and through out his years gathered up lots of friends and extra family. Junior and Elaine would host and be asked to join many house and hall jams. Recently it was with special house jam friends Tim and Pam, and new friend Neil. For many years it was Boe Boutilier and Bill Dauphinee. Right up until the end of Junior’s life music was still a big part of who he was and always will be, for on the Friday before Junior’s passing friends gathered to have one last house jam. Junior loved to entertain and was happy and humbled to be invited or just asked to play. He truly loved his circle of friends and family in this tight knit group. In Junior’s words his last jam was “one of the best”. Junior was well known for his bucket hats. To Junior family meant everything, especially the joys he received from his grandchildren, as they came along, sharing the same sense of humor and tricks such as “pull my finger” with him. Although Junior lived through multiple health problems over his seventy plus years, he always remained positive and continued to do to his best ability what he enjoyed and that was “love, laugh and play”. To sum everything up, the quote “don’t worry be happy” truly describes this incredible man, who will keep playing in the hearts of those he loved, and those who loved him.
Junior is survived by his loving wife Elaine (Fisher); daughter Kim; son Ronnie (Kayla); grandchildren Brittany (Scott), Katie (Thomas), Tessa and Connor; great-grandchildren Koraline, Finley and Luna; sister LaDonna; brothers Michael, Wade (Marjorie),Kevin(Peggy), Stephen (Linda), brother-in-law Philip, sister-in-law Marlene.
