Barry’s early years were spent in Bancroft, Prescott and Toronto. Educated in Toronto, Queen’s University, Kingston, Ontario, and Bishop’s University, Lennoxville, Quebec. His passion for education led to a fulfilling career within the provincial and federal school systems. He enjoyed every new stage and finished his career at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario.

Moving to the South Shore of Nova Scotia for retirement, he treasured his friends and his many new adventures in this beautiful area.

We would like to extend our appreciation to Chandlers' Funeral Home for their assistance.

Helen and family wish to thank Barry’s family and palliative care doctors for the wonderful care provided, as well as Queens General Hospital and the kind nursing staff of the V.O.N for their constant attention that allowed Barry to stay in his home for his final days.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers' Funeral Home. At Barry’s request, a private service will be held for family.
