Whynot – Peggy Ann, 66, of Milton, Queens County, NS. passed away suddenly, but peacefully, on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater surrounded by her family.
Born in Brooklyn, Peggy was a daughter of Margaret Godfrey of Middlefield and the late Edward Godfrey.
Peggy was a strong, independent woman. A beloved wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and daughter. Peggy had a unique sense for creativity, she loved animals, reading and most of all her children, grandchildren and her nieces and nephews. Peggy enjoyed yard sales, spending time with her family, debates, holidays and Hayday. Peggy was always thinking of others. She was a bright candle in this dark world, which was extinguished too early and will be sorrowfully missed.
Surviving besides her mother are her daughter Roseanne; sons Matthew (Gordon) Swan – Whynot, Wendell (Megan Joudrey) all of Milton. Grandchildren Coady Whynot, Tiffany Whynot; great grandchildren Dominic “Jim”, Dante and Dallas. Nieces Samantha Frail (Jonathan), Ethel Whynot and nephew George Whynot Jr. Great nieces Chantel Frail, Paisley Whynot and Allie Whynot. Several sisters and brothers.
Nanny biscuits (beloved fur babies) Twitch, Otter, Rosebud, JK, Dayle and Cosmo.
Besides her father, she was predeceased by partner Murray Whynot Jr., and beloved pets Bluebell, Tika and Graisun.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, NS. As per Peggy’s wishes there be no funeral service. No flowers by request, donations may be made to a charity of your choice. Online condolences may be made below.
