Kenneth Maynard “Shine” Whynot

WHYNOT – Kenneth Maynard “Shine”, 86 of Milton, Queens County passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, April 1, 2018. He will be dearly missed by all that knew him.
Born in Milton, he was the son of the late Forman and Annie (Beeler) Whynot.
In Kenny’s younger years he was a Welder and Auto Body Repair Man. He later ran his own trucking business, and then worked with the Department of Transportation as a Salt Truck Operator. Over the years he spent a lot of leisure time with horses, then scooters and loved his daily drives followed by visiting with his many friends at either Tim Horton’s or McDonalds. He loved his family dearly and was always there for them. He was also very fortunate to have been a 23 year Cancer Survivor.
Kenny is survived by his wife of 63 years Joan (Jollimore), daughters Ann (Rod) Golden, Jacque Norman (Alan Conrad), Becky (Tim) McKinnon and brother Byron (Geraldine) Whynot. He was very proud of his 5 Grandchildren, Michael and Criag Golden, Megan Norman and Ryan and Zachary McKinnon and 2 Great Granddaughters, Hailey and Olivia Golden.
He was predeceased by his sister Violet Mansfield.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool where a Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, April 5, 2018 from 7pm to 9pm with a prayer service being said at 7:15 p.m. followed by a Reminiscing Reception. Burial will take place at a later date. No flowers by request, donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Institute for the Blind and Crohn’s and Colitis Canada.
