Whynot; Joan Louise, age 87, of Milton, Queens County, NS, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023 at South Shore Regional Hospital, Bridgewater, NS.

Born in Liverpool, Joan was a daughter of the late Gilbert and Maude (Wolfe) Jollimore.

Joan was a wonderful Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Sister. She enjoyed the simple life and did not like change. In her younger years she enjoyed bowling and later switched her intrests to attending Privateer hockey games and watching curling on TV. This time of year she enjoyed watching her Hallmark Christmas movies, even though she always knew how they would turn out. And she always made a trip to the store to get the Friday Herald so she could complete the weekly Lexicon. She was loved and will be greatly missed.

Joan is survived by her daughters, Ann (Rod) Golden of Hebbville, Jacque Norman (Alan Conrad) of Liverpool and Becky (Tim) McKinnon of Eagle Head; grandchildren, Michael Golden, Craig Golden, Megan Norman, Ryan McKinnon and Zachary McKinnon; great grandchildren Hailey Golden, Olivia Golden and William Snyder.

Besides her parents, Joan was predeceased by her husband Kenneth, sisters Dorothy Wolfe, Mary McLeod, Thelma Malone, Marjorie Roy and Ethel Roberts.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool, Nova Scotia. A celebration of Joan’s life will be held on Thursday, December 28th, 2023 at 2:00 pm from Chandlers’ Funeral Chapel, Liverpool. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to a charity of choice.
