Wambolt – Geraldine May, 72, of Milton, Queens County, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 24th, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Milton, she was a daughter of the late Perry and Olive (Croft) Anthony.
Geraldine was a cashier at Sobeys for a number of years. She was a member of the Nova Scotia Guides Association and a life time member of Hibernia Campground where she spent many summers cooking for the Guides Association as well serving as past president of the Seniors Club and was a member of the Nova Scotia Girl Guides. She enjoyed chinese food and will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who always put children first and an avid worker when called upon.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Roger; daughter, Tanya Francis of Truro; son Steven at home; grandchildren Talia (Chris Farr), Jacob; step great grandchildren Kelleigh and Laylah and sister Elizabeth Whynot of Milton.
Besides her parents, Geraldine was predeceased by her sister Sue Ellen Whynot.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A graveside memorial service will be held Thursday, January 31, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in Milton Community Cemetery.
